Matsunaga Memorial Hall Garden Tea Ceremony

Modern Sukiyori Tea Master ・ A cup of tea with a view of the garden associated with Matsunaga Minaorian.

The Matsunaga Memorial Museum was established in 1959 by Matsunaga Yasuzaemon (Mian), a businessman known as the "King of Electric Power" before and after World War II, who was also a renowned tea ceremony master. In 1979, the foundation was dissolved. The foundation was dissolved in 1979, and the site and building were donated to Odawara City.

The city established it as a branch of the Odawara City Museum of Folk Culture in October 1980, and special and special exhibitions are held in the main building ・ annex exhibition room. Also available for viewing and use are the tea ceremony room "Haguan" of Nozaki Kouta (Genan), which was relocated in 1986, the residence of Yasuzaemon "Rokekisou", which has been open to the public since 2001 after repair and conservation work, and "Mujuan", a country house related to Yasuzaemon, which was relocated and restored in 2020 ・, and other valuable buildings that are registered as National Tangible Cultural Properties.

The building was relocated to the same year. The garden was selected as one of the "100 Best Historical Parks in Japan" in February 2007, and visitors can view a variety of flowers throughout the four seasons.
